A relaxed introduction to Southern Italy and Sicily, combining ancient history, coastal scenery, architecture and regional cuisine.

Days 1–4 — Imperial and Baroque Rome
Arrival assistance and transfer to a centrally located hotel. Explore Ancient Rome, the Colosseum and Forum, the Vatican, Trastevere, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and the city’s great public spaces, with unhurried meals and personal time built in.
Days 5–7 — Pompeii, Sorrento, Capri and the Amalfi Coast
Travel south for a privately guided visit to Pompeii before continuing to Sorrento. Enjoy one day devoted to Capri and another to the Amalfi Coast, avoiding the need to change hotels every night.
Days 8–10 — Taormina and Mount Etna
Cross into Sicily and settle into Taormina for three nights. Visit the Greek theatre, explore Mount Etna with an appropriate local specialist, and enjoy time for cafés, shops and coastal views.
Day 11 — Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples
Journey across Sicily with a carefully timed visit to Agrigento’s extraordinary archaeological landscape, then continue to Palermo without adding an unnecessary one-night hotel change.
Days 12–13 — Palermo, Monreale and Cefalù
Discover Palermo’s Arab-Norman heritage, markets, cathedral and Palatine Chapel. Visit Monreale’s mosaics and the coastal town of Cefalù, with a final celebratory dinner.
Day 14 — Departure
Assistance with the departure transfer and onward arrangements. Additional nights may be arranged when flight schedules or personal plans make them preferable.

Unlike a local guide who joins you for only a few hours, your Tour Director accompanies you throughout the journey—planning and coordinating accommodation, transportation, reservations and daily arrangements; assisting with language; providing cultural context; working with you to select the best tours, guides and experiences; anticipating difficulties; allowing personal time whenever desired; and ensuring that every stage feels personal, effortless and unforgettable.

Our Personal Comfort Guarantee
You should never feel obliged to continue a personal hosting arrangement that does not feel right. After departure, you may end the Tour Director service and receive a refund of the unused portion of the Tour Director and personal hosting fee from the following day onward.
Hotels, transportation, admissions, local guides and other third-party services remain subject to their individual terms. Any additional amounts recovered from suppliers will also be returned to you.

Tell us about your preferred destinations, dates, interests, pace, accommodation expectations and the people travelling with you. This initial conversation is complimentary and creates no obligation.
Commission your custom journey
If you would like us to develop a detailed custom itinerary, a clearly stated Journey Design Fee is payable before substantial research and planning begin. Your proposal will explain exactly what the fee includes.
Confirm and travel with confidence
Review the proposed route, pace, accommodation level, inclusions and estimated costs. When you confirm the personally hosted journey, the Journey Design Fee is credited toward your Tour Director and personal hosting fee.
A clear and fair planning process
Professional journey design, clearly priced
The initial consultation is complimentary. Detailed itinerary research and development begin only after payment of the Journey Design Fee. Because this fee compensates us for substantial preliminary professional work—including planning, research, cost analysis and the often iterative process of refining the best combination of destinations, sights, experiences, events and logistics specifically for you—it becomes non-refundable once planning begins.
If you decide not to proceed before supplier reservations are made, no additional payment is required. Once hotels, transportation, guides or other services begin to be reserved, cancellation and reimbursement are subject to the conditions disclosed in your written proposal and the applicable supplier terms.
Full payment, revision and cancellation terms are provided before you authorize any paid planning or reservations.
